Ralph, thank you for taking the time to be here today.

Ralph, you’re a urogynecologist, but you’re not a standard, off-the-shelf, vanilla urogynecologist, you’re a souped up and modded out urogynecologist. You’re a first class innovator and an entrepreneur and that’s why I wanted you on the show. There are many doctors and patients out there who are going to benefit from learning about the things you’ve been doing and the technologies that you’ve pioneered. People don’t know that you were probably the first gynecologist to fire a fractional co2 laser in the vagina around 2005-2006 with ENT devices.
Among the many things we can discuss, I’d like to get into Sola Therapy for Pelvic Pain and Energy Based Vaginal Surgery in detail. Those are definitely front and center on your “greatest hits” album.
What else would you put on that album?
RZ
Before we dive deep into those things, I’d first like to talk about your background and your training for the benefit of those who are hearing you for the first time, so let’s turn back the clock and take you back to where you grew up.
Where does that take us? Brothers & Sisters? Docs in the Family?
RZ
UConn > Mt Sinai > Hopkins
How did you wind up being a doctor?
RZ
Obgyn? Urogyn?
RZ
Hopkins is a very research oriented academic place. Were you on a research academic track ever?
RZ
When did you get the innovation bug?
RZ
How did you wind up in Florida?
RZ
We met for the first time in 2011 when you spoke at our ISCG World Congress on a vaginal laser procedure that you called GyneShape Incisionless Vaginoplasty. And the reason that we met, in part, was because you and I have a friend in common – Neeraj Kohli, a urogynecologist and innovator and entrepreneur from Massachusetts.
How did you guys meet and become friends?
RZ
Tell me about the Zipper Brothers Film company, your premiere with your first film at South by Southwest and winning at the Academy Awards. You’re the only doctor I know that’s ever won an Oscar.
RZ
Alright. I’ve think we’ve given the audience a pretty decent zero-to-hero synopsis of who you are and why they should listen to what you have to say.
Let’s get to the good stuff.
Tell me about Sola Therapy from A to Z. Let’s start with the value proposition from the patient’s perspective at the most basic level. What problem does it fix, then how does it fix it, what is a treatment like from the patient’s perspective?
RZ
Now let’s hit it from the doctor’s perspective. Where does this technology fit in a management plan for conditions x,y,z? How does it work? How often do you treat? Do you combine it? Can you combine it?...........
RZ
Early adopters are going to try sola therapy. Traditional docs are going to want see data before they pull the trigger. We know that. What kind of data do you have to support sola therapy?
Tell me about energy based vaginal surgery. It’s a great phrase. I saw it on your website and I can’t get it out of my head.
